On a viral TikTok video @Marxbeard, former teacher, shows a clip from a study asking students to look at photos of children of different complexions and share their perspective. The findings weren't surprising yet are a reflection of how others see people with dark skin and also how people with dark skin may see themselves. This is an example of why "Confidence Restored" is more than a mantra for me, it's my life's mission. Colorism by definition means "prejudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone." While this is often used to highlight prejudice or discrimination among people of the same ethnic or racial group, it also shines a light on how racism from other groups have perpetuated this thought process throughout history.

In this episode, host Tomeria Jordan shares a message of hope when you feel like you've been beat down by life and you are condemned to remain in your condition. She reminds us that we can ALWAYS come back to God. It doesn't matter what you did, what they did, what they said, God still cares about YOU.

recognize that we are heirs to the throne.
When Tomeria says God is doing a work in her, she highlights how she is grateful for correction because the word reminds us that God corrects those whom he loves. She expressed how she has a burden for fulfilling her purpose and also to help others do the same especially in this season when people are allowing past mistakes to define their present which delays or robs us of any current or future blessings. After all, God cannot bless what we don't confess. We hope that this message helps set someone free because Tomeria knows first-hand, and has seen the manifestation of God working in her.

Did you know that September is National Suicide Prevention month and it was designed to create awareness and encourage others to take action to prevent suicides? National Suicide Prevention Week 2022 in the United States began on Sunday, September 4th and ended on Saturday, September 10th. In an article published by News4Jax there are about twice as many suicides in the United States as there are homicides, approximately 130 per day. While this show isn't specifically regarding suicide it is a very important topic that is mentioned as we recognize the importance of having a "point of return." If you know someone or maybe you just need some encouragement yourself call 988. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. In this episode, host Tomeria Jordan shares a message for anyone that has ever felt like they have been boxed in by life. Many people allow themselves to be caged by the opinions of others. Cages confine, stages refine. In fact, one definition of the word stage is "a point, period, or step in a process or development." It can also refer to a performance. Well I'm here to tell someone that God wants your life to be a performance. In revelation 12:11 it reminds us "And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death." In verse 10 it tells us that the devil was cast down to earth and in verse 12 it reminds us that satan knows his time is short so he is filled with fury. Because he doesn't have the power to destroy us, he distracts us from our true call and purpose and tries to keep us bound much like some people we've encountered in life and situations we find ourselves in.

In this episode, host Tomeria Jordan shares how recent events like the Buffalo supermarket shooting, and the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas test our faith. She also shares how over 10 years ago she was visiting Dallas for the first time and blogging about how in life we see the clouds but we can't always see the breaks. Ironically, she traveled back to Dallas the weekend before last which prompted her to think about these past T. Allen Inspires blog posts which resonate a lot today. The flights resemble life in so many ways. As individuals:
we encounter turbulence as it relates to life situations,
we see the clouds of life but not the breaks or clear skies that are above the clouds, and
we forget that we must fly through those clouds (difficult situations) and encounter some turbulence to ascend to the proper altitude where we can fly uninhibited.

In this episode, host Tomeria Jordan shares what she learned during a recent drive about detours and how it parallels life, God's grace, and restoration. Not to mention the timing of reviewing an email from Tiphani Montgomery for her Covered by God ministry around 3AM EST which served as further confirmation that I needed to get up and share this message that God gave me on April 15th since as we know obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). Time is a currency that we cannot get back. Time is valuable and important yet no matter how long it took us to get to where we are, God can restore us in an instant.
1 Peter 5:10 reminds us "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."
